GLEBE CHIROPRACTIC CLINIC + MASSAGE THERAPY CENTRE IS HAPPY TO WELCOME MELANIE GIROUX-COOK, RMT, TO ITS TEAM.
Melanie graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy (Toronto) in 2011. Growing up, Melanie was very athletic and her fascination with muscles and anatomy combined, with her interest in science, led her to major in Kinesiology during her undergraduate degree at university. Following her undergrad, she decided to combine her education, caring nature and desire to help others and become a Registered Massage Therapist. Melanie is most passionate about helping others and working with people to help them achieve their individualized goals. She believes that everyone can benefit from massage therapy – whether it is to promote injury healing, to help correct postural imbalances, to help manage stress and anxiety or to simply promote general well-being. Melanie’s massage therapy skill-set includes Swedish techniques, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, myofascial techniques, cupping therapy, prenatal and sports massage.
When not at work, Melanie enjoys staying active through dance (ballet and jazz), soccer, hiking and traveling.
